Girl Guiding
Raise money for Girlguiding Cheshire Border and you will help us to provide hours of fun, adventure and challenge for our 4350 members in East Cheshire. You will find a Rainbow, Brownie , Guide or Senior Section unit in every town and village – there’s bound to be one on your doorstep. As we celebrate our Centenary this year, we are proud to say that Guiding touches the lives of more than half a million girls each and every week.
Money raised by your participation in the Tatton Triathlon, will go directly towards providing new dinghys and katakanus at the Cheshire Guide and Scout Sailing Centre , located in Tatton Park. Last year, the team at the Centre provided over 1000 girls with one day taster sessions of a combination of kayaking, canoeing and sailing.
In return for your support, Girlguiding Cheshire Border will provide you with a fundraising pack, including, t shirt, and sponsor form.

Leukaemia Research & Lymphoma Research
We're looking to get as many of you on board as possible to join our Banana Army triathlon team at Tatton on 18/19 September 2010.
We do not set a minimum fundraising amount per place but if everyone who has offered to support us raises at least £100 each then this will help us to achieve our goals. For example just £50 can help us buy a full set of patient information booklets to support patients and families with blood cancer. We looking to raise as much as possible in what is our 50th anniversary year!

The Christie
The Christie Charity raises money to fund projects at The Christie Hospital which are outside the scope of the NHS. Last year we raised nearly £12 million which funded a whole range of things, including a new radio pharmacy, a new state-of-the-art surgical robot and groundbreaking cancer research.
We couldn't do this without the fantastic support of people, both across the North West and around the UK.
The minimum sponsorship level for this event is £75 although we do encourage our fantastic fundraisers to go the extra mile and raise as much as they can for our charity.
£75 will pay for Acubands to help patients sleep without the use of drugs, a wig which will be expertly fitted by our wig service or towards a tennis rehab session for physical therapy for teen cancer survivors.

Brainwave
For over 27 years, Brainwave has been supporting children with a range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, genetic disorders and developmental delay. We have recently opened a centre in the North West in Birchwood Warrington.
Families from around the UK come to a Brainwave Centre or outreach clinic, where each child is assessed and a programme of exercises designed by our therapy team, according to the child’s individual needs. Parents and Carers are shown how to carry out the Programmed so that they can undertake it at home, providing a framework so the child may excel and reach their full potential. This might be the ability to crawl, walk or recognize numbers.
